More than 25 years ago, Vanessa Carrillo, like many Peruvians, left her home country to start a new life in the United States. Over time, she built a home far from Peru, but one thing never changed: her deep connection to Peruvian food and flavors.
 
What started as small orders of Peruvian products for herself, her family, and friends who missed “the taste of home,” slowly grew into something bigger. Every order carried more than food — it carried memories, traditions, and a strong sense of belonging.
 
Today, that story becomes Piruw Munay, an online Peruvian store created to bring the flavors of Peru to homes across the United States, with a physical store coming soon to Trumbull, Connecticut.
